Role
The Governance, Scrutiny & Policy Committee is the strategic advisory panel for Council; it will review all Council’s policies; review and develop the ethical framework related to Member Codes and protocols; consider matters of Councillors conduct referred by the Monitoring Officer; deal with data protection, freedom of information and access to information requests; review member training and development; review Council’s governance and the Council’s readiness for the Local Council Awards.
