Local Plan Review – site allocations consultation meeting in Whitchurch on Friday 11th January 2019
Shropshire Council’s planning policy team has launched the ‘Preferred Sites’ consultation which runs until Thursday 31 January 2019, and during this time there will be a number of public meetings open to all, throughout the county, where local proposals will be explained and there will be the opportunity to discuss in depth how they impact locally. Please come along and have your say on how your community is shaped for the future.
The Whitchurch place plan area meeting will be held on Friday 11th January 2019 at the Civic Centre, High Street, Whitchurch starting at 6.30pm.
The Preferred Sites consultation document outlines a housing policy direction to improve the delivery of local housing needs and establishes development guidelines and development boundaries for a number of communities in the area including the parishes of Whitchurch Urban, Whitchurch Rural, Prees and Ightfield & Calverhall. The plan sets out the preferred sites to deliver the scale and distribution of housing and employment growth during the period 2016 to 2036.
